MARK3 17% EDTA solution — the standard chelating irrigant used during root canal instrumentation to remove the smear layer and soften calcified canal walls.

500 ml bottle. Typically used alternately with sodium hypochlorite; the two should not be mixed directly in the canal.

Removing the smear layer improves sealer penetration into the dentinal tubules and is a routine step before obturation.
